About Me

~Hello & Welcome~

I'm a Canadian artist born and raised in beautiful Alberta, home to spectacular landscapes including the rugged Rocky Mountains, pristine lakes & forests and four very distinct seasons. And yes, it does get as cold as -40C in the winter and as hot as +35C in the summertime. I like to document a lot of this using my paints & brushes. Creating art of any type has always been very rewarding and inspirational for me, whether it's through my art creations using paint or through music using my piano or guitars. I first began oil painting after taking a few classes over the winter months when my children were babies. I found it the most relaxing &

wonderful way to fill my evenings; sketching, planning & studying colour mixing for the effects I wanted. I would have to say my preference now is mainly acrylics rather than oils (mostly due to the quick drying time & much easier cleanup). I'm also enjoying some watercolour dabbling lately and plan on trying some portraiture studies using watercolours and acrylics.

There's no better feeling than unwrapping a new canvas in my home studio and beginning a new adventure......
